Image Uploading
Step 1: Create a Thumbnail of Your Artwork A thumbnail is a small image used to preview artwork. The thumbnail must be a jpg file, 70x70 pixels, and may show either the whole image in miniature or just a section. This thumbnail will be your artwork's summary.

Step 2: Upload Your Files You must upload two files: your artwork and your thumbnail. Log in to your account and go to Manage Images and then Upload New Image, and then Browse. Your artwork must be a .jpg file no larger than 10000x10000 pixels. Repeat the process to upload your 70x70 pixel thumbnail.

Step 3: Submit Your Art Click on Manage Images again. You will see a list of all your images and their links.

Open Your Account in a new tab and then Add New Story.

Under Add New Story:

Title: Insert the title of your artwork. If the piece is untitled, give a brief description (i.e., Kurt Portrait or Kurt & Dave Ice Skating).

Summary: Go back to your other open window, copy the img src link for your thumbnail file and paste it here.

Rate your artwork and check complete.

Category: Select Fanart as the category.

Chapter Title: Delete the text in the chapter box.

Story Text (text): Go back to your other open window, copy the img src link for your full-size file and paste it here.

TIP: Using complementary file names, such as kurtofskyprom.jpg for the art and kurtofskyprom_thumb.jpg for the thumbnail, keeps your images organized; you can tell at a glance which files go together and which link goes in the summary box.

Next click Preview. Check to make sure all the categories are correctly chosen, that your art is correctly rated, and that you have checked Complete. Make sure that there is no text at all in the Chapter Title box.

When you're sure that all the fields are correct, click Add Story. This will add your art to the validation queue, and the Submissions Moderators will then make sure your art is both uploaded correctly and meets F&tF's guidelines. If your submission is approved, it will appear on the site. If not, you will receive a note explaining the reason and, in the case of upload errors, explaining how to correct the problem.
